Updated: May 3, 2022

Welcome! I am so glad you are here!

For some of you, you may be seasoned peaches, a part of our community for some time. For others you may have recently joined us, or possibly stumbled across here in your scrolling. In any case, I am so excited to finallyyyy be getting my blog up and running and to have you here with us :)

So let's get to know each other a little and get this journey started.

A little about me

Just in case you didin't catch it yet, I am Ashleigh, but most call me Ash

or Peach (hence the name behind Pure Wellness by Peach in case that didn't click yet). I am a busy Mum of my two cheeky little monkeys Harlow (almost 4) and Avery (almost 2) and along with juggling mum life, wife life, me time and the general day to day, I am a Nutritionist (BSc Nutrition), helping all of YOU to see that there IS and can be a better way for YOU to achieve your goals without the need for quick fix FAD's and without the need to feel any more exhausted than you already are.

To help you see how food is our fuel, NOT our enemy and to show you just how much of a beneficial impact nutritious REAL WHOLE FOODS can have on our bodies.

It is my passion to help educate as many people as I can, one by one, to slowly but surely begin changing the way we have viewed food for a long time due to societal norms we have been exposed to. I love showing others just how beneficial food can truly be for our health and in preventing many health related conditions.

I not only find great joy in helping you to improve your own health, but in allowing you to implement positive changes for your children and families also. To ensure that as our children grow up, they have a chance at preventing many of the food related health conditions we as a society have struggled with over the many years.

And so with that, let's take a little step back to where it all began.

How did I get here today?

Well it all began back in year 12. The time had come to really buckle down and think hard about what we wanted to do with our life and where we wanted to be in our future career's. I had always LOVED school (haha, I was the kid that Mum had to make me stay home when I was sick, because I would be so upset that I would miss out on learning and important work). In particular I had been good at English, but as I got older, really came to enjoy Science and in particular Chemistry.

So I began the usual job search, flicking through the many many pages of possible career's really unsure on what I actually wanted to be. At that time, crazy as it sounds, even though I loved school, I felt my life calling was to be a Mum and that I didn't really see myself as a longterm career person. But what I did know was that in the meantime, I really wanted to do something that could truly help others. It's in my nature, I am a carer, my closest friends called me the 'Mum' of the group way before I became a Mum haha.

I knew that a doctor or nurse wasn't for me, but felt like perhaps a Pharmacist would suit me well. So settled on that as my decision and the time came to start Uni. Naturally, I felt that working in the industry would be beneficial to get a feel for what being a Pharmacist would be like, so begun working in a Pharmacy. As much as I loved chatting with people and helping them in their day to day health concerns, I soon came to realise that as knowledgable as the Pharmacist's themselves were, they didn't get the opportunity to help people on the daily with their health.

It became very clear that it was very much a fix the problem vs prevent the problem kind of career. And so made the decision that being a Pharmacist was in fact NOT how I saw myself helping others. And so the search began again.

It just so happened that a friend at Uni mentioned they were planning to start their Nutrition degree the following year. I hadn't ever met a Nutritionist before nor did I know much about what they did, other than it was to do with food. However I thought it was definitely work a look.

I had always loved food and cooking (I am Italian after all), I had enjoyed looking after my body after having danced for a large part of my life, I had family members who unfortunately had sucummed to health conditions which largely could have been prevented by their prior eating habits and I already had the belief that food and natural hollistic health had a huge benefit to our health inside and out...

It aligned perfectly and so that was my new course of action. I was excited at the prospect of now helping naturally to improve the health of many people through food.

4 years later I graduated from Curtin University as a Nutritionist (BSc) and was so very lucky to begin working in an amazing Nutrition clinic from the get go and was there for the 5 years up until I had Harlow. Here I gained extremely valuable knowledge and added confidence in my ability to help others and without my time there I wouldn't have gotten to where I am today.

After I had the kids and spent some time just being Mum first, I knew I still had the need to help others, but going back into a clinic setting I knew was no longer for me. I wanted the flexibility to still be here for the kids at the same time.

And so Pure Wellness by Peach was created, along with shortly after the creation of my 6 Week Purely Peach Nutrition Programs. It had always been a hope of mine that I could create my very own process and programs which aligned with everything I believed in. So, being able to put this in practice and see if succeed in helping the many clients I have to date, has been extremely rewarding.

Truly....Trust me when I say!

After the many years I have been helping people just like you, and especially over the last 4 years of my own Purely Peach Nutrition Programs, seeing and being a part of thetransformations of my clients makes me so very proud and excited. It is true when they say that I really am just as invested in your health and success as you are (perhaps even moreso). Seeing not ony the physical improvements that my clients achieve, but more importantly the internal improvements in their overall mindest around food, their food relationiships, experiencing increased energy, less cravings, improved digestions, less bloating, among others is truly so exciting to be a part of.

Many of those who know me well, know that I can't possibly not be doing something new at all times! So along with having my One-on-one Individualised Client 6 week programs, I have recently just released my NEW Subscritpion based programs and thought why not get my blog up and running now too (haha).

My goal in life is to help as many people as I can, and since I am here to help YOU, I wanted to provide a way to offer as many of you with the tools, tips and knowledge you deserve in helping you lead a healthy lifestyle and achieve your goals. So if this is the way to do it, then I am here :)
